Shocking Scandal: Local Businessman Forced to Pay Bribe to Retrieve Stolen Bike from Police

 A local businessman in [city] reported the theft of his Suzuki Access motorcycle to the police after it went missing from outside his shop. Despite a search lasting two hours, the bike could not be located. The next morning, the businessman and his father went to the police station to file a report, only to find their stolen motorcycle already in police custody. Upon inquiring as to how the police had recovered the bike and who had stolen it, the businessman reports that the police were rude and told him it was none of his concern. They then demanded a bribe of INR 6000 before reducing it to INR 3000. The businessman, who is a native Kannadiga, ultimately paid the bribe to retrieve his recovered motorcycle. A moderate intensity earthquake of magnitude 5.7 on the Richter scale hit Nepal on 9 November 2022. The epicentre of the earthquake was located near the town of Kalukheti in Nepal, about 448 km from the capital Kathmandu. The earthquake was felt in parts of Delhi and the National Capital Region (NCR). There were no immediate reports of any damage or casualties. What to do after an earthquake? Expect aftershocks hours, days, or weeks after the main quake. Aftershocks can cause building damage and falling debris that could injure you. Avoid open flames in damaged buildings. Earthquakes can damage gas lines, so don’t use lighters or matches. If you live near the coast, stay away from the beach. Earthquakes can cause dangerous tsunamis and flooding. Drive carefully and plan alternative routes. Structural damage and traffic light outages may make it difficult to get to your destination.
